Kevin M.J. Harvey, MD, FAAFP

Kevin M.J. Harvey, MD FAAFP

Drs. Kevin and Lorena Harvey founded Physicians of Family Medicine in 1987. He graduated from Fordham University, served in the Medical Corps in Vietnam and returned home to enroll in the MS/Ph D program at New York University.

He started medical school at the University of Guadalajara where he met Dr. Lorena. He completed his studies and transferred to complete a Fifth Pathway at New York Medical College. His internship and residency were at St. Joseph's Medical Center in New York where he served as chief resident.

Upon graduation he stayed on as faculty with the position of Assistant Director of the residency program. He completed a fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Kevin Harvey currently serves as the medical director of Physicians of Family Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at CJW Medical Center.


Lorena L. Harvey, MD, FAAFP

Lorena L. Harvey, MD FAAF

Dr. Lorena Harvey received her Doctoral degree of Physician / Surgeon from University of Guadalajara. She subsequently trained in New York, completing her internship and residency in Family Medicine at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Westchester, New York, affiliated with New York Medical College.

She was honored during her residency as the recipient of the Outstanding Resident Award presented by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. Dr. Lorena completed her fellowship in Family Medicine through Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She co-founded Physicians of Family Medicine in 1987.

Dr. Lorena lives in Woodlake with her husband Dr. Kevin Harvey and her daughter Alejandra.


Robert D. Cross, MD, FAAFP

Robert D. Cross, MD FAAFP

Dr. Robert Cross obtained his medical degree at University of Virginia in 1985. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and is a fellow with the American Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Cross is a native of Richmond and is married with four children. He is a member of Sycamore Presbyterian Church and enjoys spending time with family, tennis and sailing.


James F. Bampton, MD

James F. Bampton, MD

Dr. James Bampton received his medical degree from Medical College of Virginia in 1994. He completed his Family Practice residency at Riverside Family Practice in Newport News, Virginia. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has completed a fellowship specializing in office procedures and colonoscopy.

Dr. Bampton returned to his hometown and joined Physicians of Family Medicine in 2005, after spending seven years medically caring for Southwest Native Americans. He is married with three children and enjoys outdoor activities, reading and spending time with his family.


C. Randolph Hinson Jr., MD

C. Randolph Hinson Jr., MD

Randy Hinson, M.D., received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from VCU's Medical College of Virginia. He completed his residency program at Riverside Hospital in Norfolk.

Dr. Hinson has been providing health and wellness care to the Midlothian community for 20 years. He is Board-Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is welcoming new patients.


Bogale Jima, MD

Bogale Jima, MD

Bogale Jima, M.D., received his medical degree from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. He moved to Richmond to complete his training at CJW Medical Center and did his family practice residency at Chesterfield Family Practice.

Dr. Jima is Board-Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been serving patients in Richmond for over a decade. He is welcoming new patients.


Atiya Atique, MD

Atiya Momin, MD

Atiya Atique, M.D., received her medical degree from Dhaka Medical College in Bangladesh. She completed her residency in Family Practice at East Jefferson General Hospital in New Orleans, LA.

Dr. Atique is Board-Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is welcoming new patients. In addition to English, Dr. Atique speaks Hindi, Bengali and Urdu.


Kim Barkley, MD

Kim Barkley, MD

Kim Barkley, M.D., received her B.S. in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her medical training was at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She completed her residency program at Chesterfield Family Practice in Family Medicine. While in residency, she served as Assistant Chief Resident and was later named Chief Resident. Dr. Barkley is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She is a native of Chesterfield County.
